The Episcopal and Lutheran Campus Ministries in Flagstaff

Serving Northern Arizona University and Coconino Community College.  We are so glad you are here!  We are a community of students, faculty, staff, and supporters here in Flagstaff, supported by the Lutheran and Episcopal churches.  We have come together from many backgrounds, so we know what feeling like a stranger is all about. Our campus community welcomes people of any race, national origin, gender identity, and sexual orientation.  Growing together in faith, we seek the unity that Christ envisions for his church through learning, liturgical worship, service, and fellowship.

Adult Christian Education Formation

Our mission is to offer topics of interest to the congregation that further our Christian education. Discussion, book groups, and education presentations are offered between services, afternoons, evenings, or half-day workshops.

The Adult Christian Education Formation ministry offers a variety of topics to further our Christian education. The topics can coincide with the Art in Action exhibits, and/or the liturgical season. Throughout the year we off a five week course and discussion of Civil Discourse. During the fall we offer six confirmation classes between services for confirmands and others who want an "Episcopal 101" refresher.

Education for Ministry (EFM)

EfM is a four-year course of study (but you only commit to one year at a time!) sponsored by the Episcopal Church through the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. All four years (Old Testament, New Testament, History of Christianity, and Modern Theology and Ethics) meet together in a seminar setting of 6-12 people, plus a Mentor. This group becomes a new community every year as new people join, and others graduate. And community is the key word: it is a group which converses truthfully, confidentially, and with complete safety and trust. If you have ever wanted to know more about your faith, or had questions, or even doubts, you can bring them to this group. We meet weekly during the school year with similar breaks at Christmas and in the Spring. Interested? For more information contact Lou Klejbuk at lwklejbuk@gmail.com

Contemplative Conversations Mininistry

Contemplative Conversations is a faith based conversation around a variety of contempation-related books. We select and explore a specific book and dive into it paragraph by paragrah to see what God is saying to us through these words. The sessions are done via Zoom each week. If you would like to join us, contact Lynn Perkins, our convener.
